Multi-Deck Livestock Trailer Guide: Hydraulic Lift, Ventilation and Watering

A livestock trailer is not simply a cargo body. For long-distance cattle and small-ruminant transport, buyers must evaluate animal welfare, loading speed, ventilation, water access, cleaning and structural durability together.

Multi-deck configuration

Two- and three-deck layouts can increase usable capacity, especially for smaller animals. Deck height, internal partitions and the type of movable floor system should be designed around the target animals and route conditions.

Hydraulic lift

A rear hydraulic lift can reduce the need for steep loading ramps and make loading and unloading more controlled. Platform size, lifting capacity, hydraulic serviceability and safety locks should be considered as one system.

Ventilation and drinking systems

Adjustable ventilation, clean airflow paths and automated drinking points become increasingly important during hot weather and long journeys. Water tank capacity and internal air circulation should be matched to the expected operating conditions.

Heavy-duty construction

The chassis, welding quality, corrosion protection and floor structure affect service life. Gani Sahan Trailer develops custom livestock transport solutions in Gaziantep, Türkiye, including multi-deck configurations, hydraulic loading systems, ventilation and watering equipment.
